Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?
"No. Currently I don't."
What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?
"Don Pellum actually came [to my school]. I think he's been watching me, because he came down a few months ago. He came down while I was at track practice and he just wanted to see how I was doing and things like that. He said they'd keep an eye on me...He just told me [at the time] how they had offered only one junior and said just keep working hard and we're going to have an eye on you."
Was that the last time that you heard from him?
Have you been receiving mail and things like that?
"I receive mail from them, but it's things like little pamphlets. Nothing really too much...I check my little mailbox at school at the end of every week and it's usually filled with two or three Oregon letters."
What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?
"They're probably in my top three, actually. I'm waiting to take an official or unofficial visit up there. They've invited me to the camps, but since I'm in track, I'm not sure how that'll work out. I'm very interested in playing at Oregon."
What is your top three right now?
"USC, UCLA, Oregon and I'd probably have Cal and Miami."
What is it about Oregon that has you so interested in them?
"Well I like how they're dominant; they're fast paced. I like how their defense is. I like Eddie Pleasant and how he just roams around the field and makes plays. I feel like I'm the same way."
How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I play more like an Ed Reed. I'm pretty much all over the field. I can play strong safety, free safety, I can come down and hit, I can cover, too. I play corner also...I haven't been playing corner much. In the past I played corner, but I moved to safety and I've been playing that pretty much my whole high school career. This year, I plan on doing both. I'm playing some receiver, too."
Do you have a preference as far as what side of the ball and the position that you play?
"As of now, safety, but if wherever I'm needed to play, I'll play."
What are you looking for in a program?
"The academics, the location, where I am on the depth chart, and the coaching."
Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?
"I want to do something with sports medicine. I want to major in something like that, I feel."
What offers do you currently have right now?
"I only have one from SMU."
What other schools have you been hearing a lot from?
"UCLA, I heard a lot from them, and I also have a lot of contact with USC. We've been going back and forth."
As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?
"I've been to UCLA and USC's Junior Days, this Saturday I'm going to be at the NFTC camp in Los Angeles at Cerritos, and I plan during my spring break, I might go up to San Diego State and Arizona State for their Junior Day. I might go up there to visit."
