Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?
"No, I do not have an offer from Oregon."
What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?
"I've talked to coach [Don] Pellum already -- the linebackers coach -- on the phone and I've got friend requests on Facebook from coach [Nick] Aliotti -- the defensive coordinator -- and the defensive backs coach [John Neal]. That's pretty much it from Oregon."
What kinds of things have you discussed with the Oregon coaches in your conversations with them?
"They said they like my versatility; they said they could use me as either a strong safety or outside linebacker. Those are the two positions I'd like to play in college. Oregon is definitely one of my top picks and I would love to be a Duck. It's exciting."
How often would you say that you are in contact with Oregon?
?"I talked to coach Pellum about a week and a half ago and that was the last time I talked to them."
What is it about that school and the program that has you so interested in Oregon?
"One, it's just a beautiful state, Oregon. I've been there before and I love it. Two, Oregon wins and they have great football facilities. They have great education there and I want to do business and I can get a good degree there and they always have a top defense -- a great defense -- and that's what I want to be a part of."
When did you visit Oregon?
"I have two uncles that live in Oregon. They live in Medford, Oregon. I've never visited the University of Oregon, but I'm going to take a visit in about two weeks because I'm going to Oregon and Oregon State to check them out."
How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I can say that I'm quick, aggressive, I'll hustle -- I'll hustle until the play's over -- and I can I'll make the big pick if they need me to get an interception and I can make the big hit if they need a big hit."
Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try and pattern your game after at all?
"Yeah, definitely. That's Brian Dawkins. He's not really playing as much -- he was on the Broncos and has kind of died out -- but when he played for the Eagles, man that guy was...He hustled, he was a heck of a player. That guy's my all-time favorite."
What are you looking for in a program?
"I'm going to have to visit every school [recruiting me] before I make a decision and it's going to just be if I can see myself at that school, if I like the surroundings, if I like the environment and the other thing is playing time. If there's one school that has less people at my position than another school, then I might go for that one because I definitely would like to play much sooner than later in college."
What are some of the offers that you currently hold from other programs?
"I have Oregon State, Colorado, Washington State, and Duke."
Are there any other schools who you've been in a lot of contact with?
"TCU, USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon, Boise State, Nebraska, Boston College, and Cal."
Do you have a top five or a list of favorites at this point?
"At this time I don't. I mean Oregon has definitely always been the at the top and a top school for me. All those schools are pretty much in the open. I just have to visit the schools, see if I like it, and if I like what I see and like what I hear, then I would have no problem committing. In the meantime, I'm just going to take my visits and see how I like everything."
As far as camps, unofficial visits, and Junior Days go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?
"I've been to USC and UCLA already for their Junior Days; I loved both of them, those were great. My spring break is in two weeks and I'm going to visit Oregon, Oregon State, and Colorado. In the summer, TCU talked to me and they said that they don't really recruit that much in California, so they want me to do a camp down there so they can see me more, so I might do a summer camp down there. I'm not sure yet. Those are the ones I have planned right now, along with Washington and Washington State which I'll be visiting soon."
