Voeller Is All Duck

Long considered a heavy Oregon lean, West Linn (OR) four-star offensive lineman Evan Voeller ends all speculation and leaves no doubt. He is headed to the University of Oregon.

After taking unofficial visits to Oregon, California, Stanford, UCLA, as well as a trip to Seattle for the Washington spring game this past weekend, West Linn (OR) four-star offensive lineman Evan Voeller decided it was time to make the call.

"I just called coach (Steve) Greatwood and verbally committed," said Voeller Monday night.

"After I took some visits, I just noticed that with everything that's going on at Oregon, it's really special. They're changing the game and I really want to be a part of that."

Voeller also said that the university's proximity to home and the fact that his brother, sophomore walk-on tight end Dallen Voeller, is already a Duck, helped reinforce his decision to make the verbal commitment this evening.

Upon notifying Greatwood of his decision, Voeller said that the offensive line coach who will enter his 19th season at Oregon was, "really fired up."

"He said he was really jacked," stated Voeller of Greatwood. "Coach Greatwood said he was going to give me coach (Chip) Kelly's number and I'm going to call him (too)."

Voeller, who is still deciding whether to enroll early next spring or in summer the with the majority of his true freshman class, said Greatwood and the Oregon coaching staff likes him at either tackle or guard in the Oregon offense, though Voeller admits he's willing to play "anywhere."

As far as future unofficial or official visits go, Voeller says that the recruiting process has officially come to a close for him.

"I'm done," said Voeller. "I'm going to go to Oregon."
