Ducks In Seisay's Top Four

If it's at wide receiver or defensive back, American Canyon (CA) three-star athlete Chris Seisay is a force to be reckoned when he steps foot on a football field. Though he has six offers in hand, Seisay says he's looking for more.

Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?

"No I do not."

What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?

"With Oregon, I think they contacted my coach and told him they were interested in me. They came to my school last Thursday and they talked to me and said they were interested in me playing either defense or offense and they're just going to keep recruiting me pretty hard and see if that offer comes pretty soon."

Do you have a preference between offense and defense?

"It really depends what the team needs me at. I've always felt better at offense, but most schools are looking at me for defense."

When you met with Oregon last week, did they tell you what they like about you as a prospect?

"They just like that I play hard, fast...I'm 6'2'', but they said I play like a 5'10'' player, that I'm quick with my feet and everything and that I play like a college football player."

Which coach or coaches from Oregon came down to visit you?

"It was (defensive coordinator) Nick Aliotti."

What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?

"I'm interested in them a lot. They are one of my top schools...I just like how it's a good team overall. I can tell that all the teammates are close on the team, it's a good area to live in and I feel like if I go there, I'd be very comfortable."

Have you visited Oregon in the past?

"No, I haven't been there yet. I've heard it's a very nice place."

How would you describe yourself as a player?

"Well I can go up and get the ball at receiver, I run crisp routes, I fake out the defender, I'm a good deep ball threat, I play fast on defense, I can hit, I can tackle -- I'm consistent at tackling -- and I'm not afraid to hit the ball carrier no matter what size he is or how fast he is and I can keep up with receivers."

Is there a guy at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?

"I would say Jeremy Maclin."

What are you looking for in a program?

"I just want to feel comfortable with wherever I go. I want the coaches to welcome me as a player, have good teammates, and I just want to feel comfortable with wherever I go...and be happy."

Have you given any thought as to what you might want to study when you get to college?

?"I haven't made up my mind on what I want to major in yet."

What are some of the offers you currently hold from other schools?

"Colorado, Arizona, Utah, Utah State, Washington State, Hawaii, and that's it."

Are there any other schools, like Oregon, who haven't offered you but have had a lot of contact with you?

"I hear from Boise State a lot -- they're probably offering soon -- Texas A&M, Arkansas, Michigan."

Do you have a top five or a list of favorites at this point?

"It would probably be USC, Oregon, Arizona, and Boise order."

As far as camps and unofficial visits go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?

"I've been to Cal and USC and Boise State so far and I'm planning on going to Boise State this summer and maybe Oregon or USC."
