A busy summer for Scottsdale big man.

Paul Carpenter, 6-6, 266, 5.15, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain HS, has been busy this summer. He has attended both the Colorado State and Arizona State camps, and is involved in an intense summer training called Red's Way at his high school. Paul's training starts at 6:50 a.m. every morning and he works until 11 a.m.

"It is very intense," Paul told eDuck.com.

Paul indicated he also plans to attend The Big Man Competition at San Diego State later on this summer.

His top-5 schools in no particular order are Nebraska, Oregon, Arizona State, Colorado State and UCLA. He indicated he is hearing most frequently from Nebraska and Oregon.

Paul caught some attention at the NorCal Nike Camp held at Stanford in May. He had some good numbers too with a 4.69 40-yard shuttle run, a 5.15 40-yard dash, 24" vertical jump and benched pressed 185 pounds 16 times.
