Do you currently have an offer from Oregon?
"No sir. No I don't."
What kind of contact have you had with Oregon since the recruiting process started for you?
?"I've been in contact with coach (Don) Pellum and coach (John) Neal over the summer and from the beginning of the offseason. I've been keeping in touch and they should offer soon, but they're waiting, so I've been staying in contact about once a week with coach Pellum and coach Neal."
What is your overall interest in Oregon at this point?
"I have a high interest in Oregon because that is like my dream school; that's like the ideal school for me ever since I've been growing up. If I were to get an Oregon offer, that would be high on my list."
What is it about Oregon that stands out to you so much?
"Everything I hear about Oregon and the colors -- that's not going to factor in to my decision, but that helps -- and Nike. I like their defense; it's similar to our defense so I understand their schemes and what they're trying to do. Their corners get to play as freshmen a lot, so playing time, and I'm friends with De'Anthony Thomas, so that's like family up there. I talk to him about Oregon a lot. I've got to see more on a visit, but I really love Oregon."
How close of friends are you and De'Anthony?
"Since Pop Warner. Since we were little kids in Pop Warner."
How would you describe yourself as a player?
"I'm fast, I have a football I.Q., I'm very physical...that's what makes me a good player."
Is there a player at the collegiate or professional level that you try to pattern your game after?
?"Charles Woodson and Tyrann Mathieu...I like the way that Tyrann Mathieu is so aggressive around the ball. I'm like that on my team I feel like. I play not just a corner, but I play strong safety and I have the instincts and the ability to make tackles out there and we're both very passionate about making tackles and turning over the ball. I like how Charles Woodson; he has a unique style because he's like finesse, but he also makes tackles and makes big plays for his team -- strips people, makes interceptions -- and Green Bay is my favorite team."
What are you looking for in a program?
"Number one I'd say would be playing time; do I have a chance of coming in and playing at least a little as a true freshman. Playing time, location -- where is the school at, how far is it from home -- the degree and the degree from the school is very important. Like at UCLA and California, a degree from there could last a long time. That's the thing about UCLA and Cal and I still need to look more in to Oregon's education."
Do you know what you might want to study when you get to college?
"I want to study sports medicine."
What are some of the offers you currently hold from other schools?
"Washington State, Cal, San Jose State, Arizona State, UCLA, Washington, and Boise State and soon to be Oregon."
Do you have a top five or a list of favorites at this point?
"No, I don't have a list."
As far as camps and unofficial visits go, where have you been and where do you plan on going over the next few months?
"On June 26, I'm flying down to Washington and I'm going to have some workouts with some DB coaches, I don't know if I'm going to their camp though. I think I'm going out there right before that, so I'm going to be up there for two days at Washington. I've been to UCLA -- I've been on like three unofficial visits to UCLA and I liked it there -- and I've been on two unofficial visits to USC and I've been on recruiting trips to USC."
