Ducks Head to Spain on 10-Day Foreign Tour

The Oregon women's basketball team is headed to Spain for a four-game foreign tour playing Spanish professional teams according to media release from the Oregon Athletic Department.

The Ducks will spend 10 days in Spain starting off with a four-day stay in Madrid from Friday, Aug. 24 through Monday, Aug. 27. From there the women will head to Valencia, spending two nights then moving on to Barcelona from Aug. 30 through Sept. 3rd.

The Oregon program returns 20 letterwinners including two starters from last year's 15-16 (7-11 conference) team. Ariel Thomas, one a returning starter is out indefinitely due to injury. Also unavailable is junior Deanna Weaver and redshirt freshman Janitah Iamaleava. Even though the three can not play they will make the trip to Spain with their teammates. Two incoming freshmen, Jillian Alleye and Devyn Galland will also be on the trip and are eligible to participate.
