Update on Tyrell Robinson

Heading into his senior season, Lincoln Senior HS linebacker Tyrell Robinson (San Diego, CA) remains one of the elite players yet to have committed to a university, making him highly coveted by several top programs.

However, the linebacker is in no hurry to make a choice, and says that he is still part of a package with his brother Tyree.

Robinson said that he has been in contact with Ducks linebacekers coach Don Pellum and is also in contact with Ducks basketball coach Dana Altman. Robinson wants to play both football and basketball whereever he chooses to attend, and says that Oregon is on the rise with both programs, making them one of his top choices.

"They have all the weapons you need," he said.

In the meantime, Robinson is scheduled for a visit to Oregon for the Fresno State game. He says he will be in town on Sep. 8 and will take a tour of the school and its facilities during the trip.

Heading into his senior season, Robinson says that he's looking to become "as dominant as I can be,". He's put in the work, claiming that he has been doing workouts since school ended for the summer.

His goals are to help lead his team to a state championship. Robinson said that he feels "blessed" to be in the position he is in and that after the season is over, he plans on turning his attention back to recruiting and selecting which school he will enroll in.

"I want to take advantage of the opportunity," Robinson said.
