Oregon on Moffitt's List

De La Salle High School's D.J. Moffitt (Concord, CA) may not have an offer from Oregon yet, but other Pac-12 schools have taken notice of the three-star safety/linebacker including Arizona, Colorado, Utah and Washington State.

Moffitt is currently seeking an offer from Oregon, and has been speaking to defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti and linebackers coach Don Pellum. Though he hasn't visited Oregon, he says that he wants to visit when the football season winds down and he begins to focus on recruiting once again.

Of the schools interested in him, Moffitt says that Nevada, Colorado and Arizona are recruiting him the hardest at this point, and that Washington and Cal have shown some interest. Cal and Washington also made the list of school's that Moffitt would also consider visiting, next to Oregon.

Despite not having the offer at this time, Moffitt says that Oregon would be a top five school on his list.

"They know how to win there," he said of the program. "They take care of their players."

So far this season, Moffitt says that he has been working on his pass coverage and getting more power behind his hits as his team has racked up a 3-0 record. His size and agility have already improved from last season, and he mentioned that he is working on improving his coverage skills.

"I've gotten a lot faster on the field with reading," he said.

Moffitt also said that he talks Oregon with teammate Austin Hooper, a three star defensive end that has an offer from the Ducks.
