"I'm going to Oregon on January 9th through the 11th."

Williams, a 6-foot-2, 219-pounder, from Bolingbrook, Illinois is the #4 ranked linebacker prospect in the nation according to TheInsiders.com and he's the #1 ranked prospect overall in the Midwest.

Kyle continues to show everyone why he's worthy of All-America recognition as he continues to work hard in the weight room and on the field.

The leadership skills that Williams has shown in the weight room and on the football field during camps is just a couple of the reasons why he has more than 40 written scholarship offers.

Williams has a "Top Five" but he says there are about 11 schools that he is still considering.

"Iowa is still on top. I get hand-written mail from Iowa every day. They (Hawkeye coaches) don't falter. Iowa was the first to offer and they continue to recruit me the hardest.

"Oregon has moved up to #2. I talk with Coach (Mike) Bellotti on the phone quite a bit. Coach Bellotti and my father had a real nice conversation on the phone and I think they hit it off as well.

"Oregon has been on it. They send hand-written letters almost as much as Iowa and I feel very comfortable with the coaches.

"Miami is #3 right now. They've been sending mail but it isn't as intense as Iowa or Oregon. I get something once a week from Miami.

"UCLA is still in the mix at #4. I talk to Coach (Karl) Dorrell every once in a while. UCLA is doing all the right things.

"My #5 school right now might shock you but its Purdue. Purdue is moving up hard. They are sending a lot of hand-written letters and I talk to Coach (Mark) Hagan and Coach (Joe) Tiller just about every week.

"I'm going to take an unofficial visit to Purdue at the beginning of August.

"Oklahoma, USC, Tennessee, Ohio State, Penn State and Nebraska are still in the mix and they might get an official visit. They just haven't recruited me as hard as my "Top Five" schools." Williams said.

Williams will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003. Kyle bench presses 450-pound, squats 550-pounds and runs a 4.55 40-yard dash.

He loves to hit, punish and put fear in his opponents. Kyle's vertical leap is through the roof, his work ethic and leadership skills go unmatched.

Kyle Williams is the complete package and 11 schools still have a shot at his signature come February. Stay Tuned!
