SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Mac Fleet ran his fastest mile in more than two years to finish second in that race Saturday at the Alex Wilson Invitational.

Fleet looked strong in running 3:58.90, finishing behind only Austin Mudd of Wisconsin, who won in 3:58.59. More importantly, that time moved Fleet into the top 16 nationally in the mile, making him eligible for a bid to next weekend's NCAA Indoor Championships at Fayetteville, Ark.

Noelle, a freshman from Greene, N.Y., finished eighth in the mile on Saturday in 4:01.98.

Also, Arthur Delaney ran 21.30 in the 200 meters to finish fourth overall. The sophomore from Gresham, Ore., missed a PR by .04.
