Game Notes from Oregon's 74-57 win Over SLU

The Oregon Ducks advanced to the Sweet Sixteen today by beating St. Louis University, 74-57. The Ducks will face Louisville on Friday, Mar. 29 in Indianapolis. Tip off time has not yet been announced. This will be Oregon's fourth time in school history to appear in the Sweet Sixteen.

Oregon now 14-9 in all-time NCAA Tournament competition and win today improves the Ducks' all-time record against the Billikens to 2-0.

Oregon Head Coach Dana Altman has made nine NCAA Tournament appearances in his coaching career but this it the first time a team he has coached has made the Sweet Sixteen.

Alman's teams at Oregon, 2010 through 2013 are tied for second place on the University's list for all0-time wins in a three-year span at 73 wins, matching the 1937-40 Oregon teams.

Much is made about Oregon's variety of uniforms and when the Ducks wear the black jersey's, they are 4-3.

Oregon shot 72.7 percent in 3-point shooting (8-for-11), which is the highest shooting percentage for a game this season.

Freshman Damyean Dotson recorded his career high in scoring with 23 points on 8-of-12 field goal shooting including 5-of-6 in 3's.

Jonathan Loyd is now ninth on the Oregon all-time steals list with 115, surpassing Terrell Brandon (114).

Senior Arsalan Kazemi pulled down 16 rebounds and the performance marks the first time in school history that a player has had at least 16 rebounds in two straight Tournament games.
