Dotson Close To More Offers

American Canyon (Calif.) running back Jomon Dotson is coming off of a successful junior season and already has two offers and thinks he is on the cusp of two more.

Jomon Dotson is an emerging talent that already has offers from Yale and Northwestern. But, the 6-foot, 165-pound athlete believes that he is on the verge of receiving offers from Cal and Oregon State.

"The recruiting process right now is going pretty good," Dotson said.

Dotson is also interested in a few other schools such as Boise State, Arizona and Oregon.

"(Oregon) is great," Dotson said. "Footballw-wise, they run with a lot of formations and they are up-tempo. Their speed is pretty fast and that's what I like."

Oregon is no stranger to American Canyon athletes, having picked up defensive back Chris Seisay from the class of 2013. According to Dotson, Seisay and him have been discussing Oregon in class.

"Me and Seisay, we talk," Dotson said. "We have a pretty good relationship. We hang out a lot around school. We have classes together. We sit next to each other and he tells me all about Oregon. He's been trying to get me to go to that school."

But, as of now Dotson doesn't have a favorite school. He said that he plans on camping at Stanford, Cal and Oregon State in the coming weeks and that, for now, he's working on improving for next season.

"Right now I'm just trying to get bigger, that's it," Dotson said. "I'm working out in the weight room just trying to get bigger."
