Schultz Picks Up New SEC Offer

South Jordan (Utah) Bingham tight end Dalton Schultz picked up a new offer on Wednesday from the SEC.

No. 1 tight end prospect Dalton Schultz has been hearing from several schools from around the country as of late. While most have been primarily from the Pac-12, the 6-foot-6, 230-pound prospect picked up an offer from an SEC school on Wednesday.

"Utah has definitely been talking to me a lot," Schultz said. "So is Stanford and Washington. I'd say they are doing the hardest. Then, today Florida came in and got me an offer. That was cool."

Excited to add another school from the SEC to his offer list, Schultz said that one school he would like to hear more from is Alabama. Though he hasn't had a ton of personal contact with the Crimson Tide, it remain a school that he covets.

"I think that would be pretty cool," Schultz said. "I'd say that's the one that's super stand out right now."

Schultz is getting ready for an upcoming trip that could include up to four unofficial visits from May 19-25. During the trip he will be participating in the Bay Area NFTC in Oakland.

"I'll be actually going to Stanford and then driving up through Oregon to Washington," Schultz said. "We might hit Oregon State or Oregon."

Schultz has been taking advantage of his offseason by going through SPARQ training every three weeks and additional training programs at Bingham in an effort to knock one of two of his goals for this year off of his list.

"I'm trying my hardest to get invited to The Opening," Schultz said. "That's my goal this year, along with a state championship in the fall."
