Future Ducks React To Sanction News

On Wednesday, the NCAA issued sanctions against the University of Oregon for participating in illegal recruiting activity. The school was placed on three years probation and will lose one scholarship per year during that span, among other penalties.

Some members of the 2014 recruiting class who have verbally committed to Oregon, chimed in with their opinion on Wednesday's events.

Morgan Mahalak (QB, verbal commit) - "I think its definitely helpful to get this done. They can move forward and not have to worry about that anymore. They know exactly what's going to happen and how things are going to play out. It will definitely be helpful for Oregon."

Tui Talia (JUCO DT, verbal commit) - "I'm really excited for not having a bowl ban! Even if they did, I'd still be committed. But that's really great to hear."

Tyrell Crosby (OT, verbal commit) - "It wouldn't have had an effect on me. Oregon is my top choice overall. I am excited because there's no bowl ban. Going to a bowl my freshman year, I can see how everything works."

Dominique Harrison (JUCO CB, verbal commit) - "With me being able to go there for three years, I feel it could have a slight effect on us, but I don't think it's going to play a major role."
