Named to Manning Award Watch List

Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota has been added to the Manning Award Watch List based on ESPN's newly released Quarterback Rating (QBR) of 87.3.

The Manning Award was created in 2004 by the Allstate Sugar Bowl to honor the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning.

Marcus Mariota rating is just behind Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel (90.5). Tajh Boyd of Clemson is third on the QBR list at 82.2 while A.J. McCarron of Alabama is fourth with an 81.1 rating.

According the Allstate Sugar Bowl website the winner of the Manning award is selected by a panel of national media covering college football, as well as each of the Mannings.
