Ducks Cruising at the Half

BOULDER, Colo. – The Colorado Buffaloes pulled a trick play with a halfback pass for a touchdown, but the Oregon Ducks relied on what they have done all year by scoring six times and went into the half leading 43-16. Marcus Mariota threw for three touchdowns and ran two additional TDs to put the Ducks out in front comfortably. Freshman Thomas Tyner also recorded a score in the first quarter.

Mariota threw for 261 yards on 13-for-24 passing. He also has rushed for 29 yards.

Mariota TD passes were to Bralon Addison on a 75-yard strike in the first quarter. Later in in the first, Mariota found Keanon Lowe in the back of the end zone on a 17-yard connection. Just as the half ended Mariota and Josh Huff hooked up on a 4-yard TD pass.

Oregon's Terrance Mitchell aided the Ducks' cause by picking off Connor Wood twice, and both turnovers led to Duck scores. Wood finished the half going 7-for-18 and the two interceptions but Paul Richardson, the Buffs' talent wide receiver had 114 yards on three catches. D.D. Goodson scored on the 75-yard halfback pass from Richardson.
