Ihenacho Chooses Oregon

Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra defensive back Glen Ihenacho has made his college choice and pledged his verbal commitment to Oregon.

The week keeps getting better for Oregon. After Braden Eggert's commitment earlier this week provided a boost for the offensive line, Oregon's secondary received a similar boost via a verbal commitment from Junipero Serra defensive back Glen Ihenacho. Ihenacho confirmed the news with eDuck.com on Thursday night.

He visited Oregon last week and said the decision came down to his thought process, which was aided by discussions with his family.

"It was talking it through," Ihenacho said. "I really loved it when I was up there so when I came back down here, I talked it through with my family and thought about it overnight."

Ihenacho is a three-star safety, but could play cornerback at the next level according to earlier analysis by Scout.com's Greg Biggins. He had offers from 10 Pac-12 schools including Arizona State, UCLA and Washington.
