Right now, two programs are showing strong interest in the three-star prospect.
Ford said that he has weekly, if not almost daily contact with Oregon. His conversations and messages with assistant coach Joe Bernardi and offensive line coach Steve Greatwood have included a mix of personal and football discussions as they continue to build up a relationship.
"They'd really like to get me up to camp this summer," Ford said.
The possibility of either Bernardi or Greatwood visiting Ford this spring is still in play as well. It could also be the only time they meet as Ford is unsure of whether or not his family can spend the money to get to Eugene.
"It'll be tough because it's so far out there," Ford said. "It'd be expensive to get out there on a plane or driving with gas. If we could afford it, I would definitely go out there to the camp."
With Minnesota, Ford mentioned they also want him to come to a camp in June. Because of its location to him, the chance for a visit there seems more likely.
"I'm going to try to definitely make that one," Ford said. Ford said that along with Illinois, his first offer, that the three aforementioned programs are the ones recruiting him the hardest right now.
"Those are my top four right now," Ford said. "Missouri State has definitely come in contact the last week and that's about it."
