Griffin into double-digits

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- T.J. Griffin's recruitment has exploded over the past few months. The 2015 Ocean Lakes cornerback gave the latest.

"I have ten offers – Charlotte, Duke, East Carolina, James Madison, Marshall, Old Dominion, Virginia, Wake Forest, West Virginia and Wisconsin," said T.J. Griffin. "Florida, Tennessee, N.C. State are also showing a lot of interest. "I really want to hear from Texas A&M, too."

His most recent visit was to Wake Forest.

"It was about two weeks ago," said the 5-foot-9, 175-pound Griffin. "It was really good and the coaches showed a lot of love.

"My favorite part of the trip was meeting the players. They were really cool and I got to sit in the DB meeting with them. Overall, the visit was just great."

Where Will Griffin visit next?

"I'm trying to get to Duke and then Wisconsin," he said. "I'll probably go to Duke within the next few weeks, and then Wisconsin during the summertime."

Two schools have impressed him early in the recruiting process.

"Wake Forest and Duke are definitely standing out," Griffin said. "They show me a lot of love."

He has a timeline for his recruitment.

"I'm going to probably narrow it down to a top five in September," Griffin said. "I have been thinking about make my decision right after football season, which will be sometime in December."

Griffin has high hopes for his senior campaign.

"Winning a state championship is definitely the only goal," he said. "We just have to come together as a team and give great effort. I know we can do it."
