Grasu on Pre-Season Rimington List

EUGENE – University of Oregon center Hroniss Grasu has been named to the Rimington Trophy watch list for the third year in a row as announced Monday by the Rimington Trophy Committee.

The Rimington Trophy is presented annually to the nation's most outstanding center in the NCAA's Football Bowl Subdivision and is named after two-time Nebraska All-America center Dave Rimington.

The 6-3, 297-pound Los Angeles standout earned first-team Pac-12 all-conference honors each of his past two seasons and was one of six finalists for the award a year ago. The 2013 All-American and three-year starter enters his senior season having anchored the Ducks' offensive line for 40 consecutive games for a program which led the league in total offense (2nd nationally), scoring (4th nationally) and rushing (9th nationally) last year.

Oregon's offense averaged 565.0 yards per game of total offense, 45.5 points and 273.5 rushing yards in 2013.
