"I'm at a loss for words for how it's all come together," Walter said.
Texas Tech, Utah, Washington State, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas State, California, Boise State and Duke are just a few of the schools that have offered the three-star prospect. His most recent offer came from the Oregon Ducks. Offensive line coach Steve Greatwood extended the offer to Walter, who admitted that the offer made a big impact.
"I really like Oregon and everything they do," Walter said. "Their football team, the school, their coaching staff. They're definitely one of the top on my list of colleges right now."
The offer came about after Greatwood and offensive coordinator Scott Frost saw Walter up close and personal at practice two weeks ago.
"They really liked how fast I was off the ball," Walter said. "They were really excited about how I played during practice and they said they relayed that information to the head coach."
Although he hasn't hashed out any plans for upcoming visits, Walter said he'd like to take a trip up to Eugene.
"I would actually like to take an official visit up there," Walter said.
So far, Walter hasn't visited many programs. In fact, the only visits Walter has taken have been to ASU over spring break and to San Diego State a couple of weeks back.
"I got to tour all of the facilities and meet the coaches," Walter said of both unofficial visits. "Nothing too special, but I liked both schools."
Originally planning to make a college choice before his senior year, Walter has revised those plans due to the copious amount of offers he's received.
"With all of the offers I'm getting, I'm actually looking to take some officials over the fall and feel out where I want to go and make the right decision," Walter said.
