Oregon picked up a late addition to the 2014 class in the form of Oakland (Calif.) linebacker Eddie Heard Jr.
football staff reported the news via its Twitter handle (@OregonGridiron) on Friday afternoon. Heard, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound prospect, had committed to Missouri
back on May 21, but switched schools and instead signed a financial aid agreement with the Ducks.
He will reportedly have four years to play three according to a tweet from GoDucks.com editor Rob Moseley
A product of Laney College, Heard recently spoke with Scout.com national analyst Brandon Huffman about his past as a quarterback and baseball player as well as his transition to defensive end while at Laney.
Heard also held offers from California, Missouri, Fresno State and Washington State.
