"I called [Greatwood] there and basically they were both on speaker and I told them the good news," Throckmorton said. Throckmorton said that the picture started clearing up for him after he took one final unofficial visit this past week to Washington. A final conversation with his parents on Saturday sealed the deal.
"I visited UW this past Wednesday and I really wanted to see if my mind changed at all and it really didn't," Thorckmorton said. "This morning, something just felt right and I wanted to be a Duck."
Throckmorton was determined not to have his recruitment hanging over his head during his senior season and is glad to have it over with.
"It's a huge relief," Throckmorton said. "It feels really, really good and I feel like I made a great decision. I'm very happy with it."
Outside of additional visits to Eugene, Throckmorton said he doesn't plan doing much else until he signs his letter of intent.
"I'm not taking any other visits besides a couple to Oregon probably during their season," Throckmorton said. "Other than that, I don't feel like I need to see other schools."
