Kris Boyd, a 6-foot-0, 190-pound cornerback from Gilmer (Texas) High was planning to make his announcement at The Opening, but after some small miscommunication with the staff he did not get the opportunity. He feels his decision could come at any time. Schools squarely in the mix are Texas A&M, Texas and Florida State.
Malik Jefferson from Mesquite Poteet says that he is still considering all in-state schools. he had originally planned to be at the July 18th camp, but said that he is questionable on it now. It is his brother's birthday and the family has something planned at this time. He plans to use his five official visits on out of state schools and has trips to Ohio State, Stanford and UCLA already scheduled with schools like Alabama, Stanford, USC and Notre Dame still under consideration.
Holton Hill is planning on attending the July 18th camp at Texas and is very excited about it. He feels like the under the lights idea was something unique and exciting for prospects. He has never been to a night camp. In-state schools that will be finalists are Texas, Texas A&M and Baylor with some national powerhouse schools out of state sprinkled in.
