Green Makes His Choice

Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge junior quarterback Seth Green announces his decision.

In front of his family, coaches, peers, and media at his high school, four-star quarterback Seth Green made his commitment to Oregon public today.

After camping with the Ducks in the Summer and earning an offer, Green (6-foot-4, 210 pounds) visited Eugene for the Ducks' September 6th victory over Michigan State and named them his leader. After narrowing his list to them, Minnesota and Michigan State for his announcement, he made it official that he would be spending his college days as a Duck.

“The coaches, the personalities, the work ethic,” he said. “Their focus on academics stood out a lot too. And also they just strive for greatness. They really want to be the best they can be and that just means a lot.”

Raptors head coach Mike Pendino says Green is right up there with the best he's coached.

"Seth has got it all. He's got the it factor, he's got the maturity, he's very humble, he can throw the ball, he can run, I mean, I was fortunate enough to have Larry Fitzgerald in high school and I compare him to Larry Fitzgerald in all those qualities."

Scout will have more from the announcement throughout the day.
