Kaumatule commits to Oregon

According to the Oregon Gridiron Twitter feed, Canton Kaumatule has committed to the University of Oregon following their win over Stanford.

The fifth-ranked Oregon Ducks beat Stanford 45-16 on Saturday night at Autzen, but it wasn't the only victory they'll be celebrating.

Four-star Honolulu (Hawaii) Punahou outside linebacker Canton Kaumatule has committed to the Oregon Ducks per the Oregon Gridiron Twitter account. The announcement from the account is also an indicator that Kaumatule has signed a financial aid agreement with the program.

Kaumatule is the 15th commit for Oregon from the 2015 class and first linebacker second player on the defensive front seven to join the class along with recent verbal commit Gus Cumberlander. At 6-foot-6, 280-pounds, Kaumatule is a coveted prospect and was down to the Ducks and USC according to Scout.com's Doug Kimmel. He was in town on an official visit along with teammate Semisi Uluave.

Kaumatule's brother, Luke, is a defensive end for Stanford.
