Third Time is a Charm: Mariota PoW!

For the third time this season and for the second straight week, Marcus Mariota has been named Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Mariota was honored for his performance against Stanford last Saturday night by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Marcus Mariota threw two touchdowns and 258 yards on 19-for-30 passing with one interception and rushed for two scores and 85 yards in Oregon's 45-16 win over Stanford.

Mariota was named Player of the Week last week for his work in the California game and earlier this year for the big game against Michigan State in the second week of the season.

Oregon is currently 8-1 for the season and 5-1 in the conference and travels to Salt Lake City to take on Utah in a showdown with Utah. The win virtually wrapped up the Pac-12 North bid to the conference championship game that will be played at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. on Dec. 5.

Oregon is also vying for a spot in the NCAA Championships and is presently No. 5 in the rankings.
