Ducks in Complete Control 30-3

EUGENE – The Oregon Ducks sprinted out to a 30-3 lead in the first half to take complete control of its game with the Colorado Buffaloes. Oregon running back Royce Freeman has scored twice on runs of 20 and seven yards.

Mariota has rushed for one score on 46-yard scamper to the endzone and also has thrown for one touchdown to Charles Nelson covering 31-yards.

Place kicker Matt Wogan connected on a 25-yard field goal attempt for the final score of the half. Wogan has also was good on his three point after attempts. Oregon misfired on its first point after attempt when Taylor Alie’s pass went incomplete.

Colorado’s score came on a 23-yard field goal by Will Oliver in the second quarter.

Overall, Oregon has amassed 341 yards of total offense compared to Colorado’s 93. Mariota was 14-of-20 for 176 yards and the one touchdown. Colorado’s Jordan Gehrke was 8-for-17, 58 yards. Mariota is the leading rusher for the game with 74 net yards on six carries. Royce Freeman was the first freshman Oregon running back to go over 1,000 yards rushing in a season in the first half. Freeman has 59 yards on 12 carries and the two TDs.

Colorado will receive the kickoff when the third quarter begins.
