For the record, records were broken as the Ducks trampled the Buffaloes. While game was, perhaps, a bit anticlimactic, it was a day when milestones were set in the air and on the ground. Oregon was dominant throughout the occasionally rainy day, yet it was not a flawless performance; fortunately, an errant onside kick, an early sack and some penalties did not derail the fine farewell from Autzen.
Marcus Mariota and Royce Freeman stamped the record books again, in a pair of bookend performances at Autzen. In what will likely be his final season as a Duck, Mariota again commanded the turf and the rainy sky, while Freeman crossed the 1K mark as a true freshman. Several backups saw action, forecasting the changing of the guard. The Duck fans were their usual selves, with appreciation for the contributions amidst boisterous cheers, and unfazed by the occasional downpour. The Oregon juggernaut continues, though next week's Civil War game remains a potential pitfall, as we saw last season.
