Ducks lead 30-3 at half

CORVALLIS — It was too many weapons for Oregon and a stronger than expected Duck defense that gave the No. 2 ranked Ducks a 30-3 lead at the half over Oregon State in the 118th Civil War.

Ducks quarterback Marcus Mariota has thrown three touchdown passes plus ran for a fourth TD on a 23-yard run. Mariota hit Charles Nelson for the first score of the game on a 29-yard scoring play.

Later in the first quarter Mariota and Royce Freeman hooked up on a 12-yard pass and score. Then in the second quarter, Mariota hit Byron Marshall on a scoring play that covered 77 yards.

Matt Wogan hit a 30-yard field goal in the first quarter.

Oregon State scored as the clock expired in the first half on a 39-yard field goal by Garrett Owens.

For the half Oregon has racked up 365 total yards to Oregon State's 159.

Mariota is 13-for-18, 244 yards and no interceptions but he has been sacked twice.

Oregon State QB Sean Mannion is 11-for-23 for 79 yards. Running back Storm Woods is the game's leading rusher with 83 yards on 12 carries. Freeman leads the Ducks on the ground with 68 yards on 11 carries.
