Conference Offensive Player of the Year

Oregon junior quarterback has been named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Mariota set a conference record of 47 touchdowns scored in a single season and is the has the highest quarterback efficiency rating nationally at 190.2.

Marcus Mariota has thrown for 3,470 yards, 36 touchdowns with only two interceptions. He has also ran for 10 touchdowns from his 636 yards rushing and has one touchdown reception resulting from a halfback-passing play.

Mariota was named Pac-12 Conference Player of the Week twice this season. In addition to holding the honor of Offensive Player of the Year, Mariota was the Freshman of the Year following his first season as the signal caller at Oregon.

The Ducks are 11-1 for the season and 8-1 in conference play and will face Arizona on Friday in the Pac-12 Conference Championship game at Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
