Waller enrolling early

Oregon landed an early Christmas gift on Thursday when 2015 quarterback commit Travis Waller announced that he will enroll early.

2015 Oregon quarterback commit Travis Waller, an Elite 11 finalist and U.S. Army All-American, announced that he will be an early enrollee after signing a financial aid agreement with the school on Thursday. Waller released the news on his Twitter account. A message from the Oregon Gridiron Twitter account confirmed the news almost immediately after the initial post was released.

Waller becomes the fifth 2015 class member to sign a financial aid agreement with Oregon already. Offensive guard Zach Okun, wide receiver Alex Ofodile and running back Taj Griffin signed theirs back in September while defensive end Canton Kaumatule signed his immediately after pledging his commitment to the program in November.

Waller had a terrific senior season for Servite High School in Anaheim (Calif.). The 6-foot-3, 195-pound dual-threat quarterback threw for 1,692 yards, 14 touchdowns, six interceptions while running for 840 yards and 13 touchdowns according to MaxPreps.com.

He'll play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 3 from San Antonio (Tex.). The game will be televised on NBC at 10:00 a.m. local time.
