Bostick commits to Oregon

Oregon has landed its first linebacker commitment from Santa Monica (Calif.) prospect Paris Bostick.

The drought has ended.

Without a linebacker attached to the 2015 class and a month away from National Signing Day, the Oregon Ducks have finally landed a commitment, this one from junior college prospect Paris Bostick.

The 6-foot-1, 213-pound Bostick confirmed the news with eDuck on Saturday afternoon. Previously, the Tampa (Fla.) athlete had committed to Georgia in 2013 and after redshirting his freshman season due to a toe injury, he transferred from the program last April to Iowa Western Community College before ending up at Santa Monica College where he played linebacker and running back.

He finished this season with 42 tackles, two tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

Bostick was ranked as the second-best JUCO linebacker in the Upper Midlands by Scout.com over the summer, behind only Davon Durant, another Oregon target who ended up committing to Arizona State in December.
