Buckeyes Hold 21-10 Lead at the Half

ARLINGTON, Texas – The Ohio State Buckeyes hold a 21-10 lead over the Oregon Ducks at halftime in the NCAA National Championship game played at AT&T Stadium. OSU’s Cardale Jones has thrown for one touchdown and rushed for a second.

Cardale Jones has thrown for 171 yards and a touchdown to Nick Vannett. Ezekiel Elliott has rushed for 98 yards scoring one touchdown from 33 yards out. Jones also plunged into the endzone for Ohio State’s third score.

Meanwhile, Oregon’s Marcus Mariota has thrown for 193 yards finding Keanon Lowe in the endzone on a 28-yard scoring play. Place kicker Aidan Schneider rounded out Oregon’s scoring with 26-yard field goal.

Oregon had an opportunity in the second quarter to score a second touchdown, but Thomas Tyner’s attempt to drive in from the OS3 came up a yard short and the ball was turned over on downs.

Overall Ohio State has 315 yards of total offense while Oregon has 292.

Ohio State will receive the kickoff when play begins in the third quarter.
