GALLERY: Spring Game Oregon v. Pathway

The Ducks kept up the tradition of recognizing those who defend our country as the 2015 Spring Game featured the offense and emerging defense. The Pathway squad, led by Jeff Lockie jumped to an early lead, although the Oregon squad made it close, coming up short in the 35-29 Pathway victory. A bit of razzle-dazzle combined with solid running and passing to account for the big points.

Lockie threw for 223 yards and 3 TDs, flawless in 9 throws. Morgan Mahalak scored on on a rushing play, and mustered 32 yards going 3-for-9. Charles Nelson had an outstanding effort with a pick and two TDs, looking as fast as ever. Thomas Tyner averaged 9.4 yards on five carries, while Royce Freeman netted 46 yards on 6 carries, and scored once on a pass. Bralon Addison threw 3-for-3, and joined Ty Griffen, Taylor Alie, and Travis Jonsen in touchdown passes. On the defensive side, Jimmie Swain led all tacklers with seven, while Danny Mattingly, Canton Kaumatule and T.J. Daniel kept up the pressure. The Ducks still have much to do on all fronts as they await the opener against Eastern Washington.
