Fans saw a slowed down pace as Ducks workout in the afternoon in a daily double. Some fans may have expected a more lively workout, but the Ducks have been going full-tilt since camp started last Monday. Helfrich indicated that on Sunday the team will meet in various position non-football related activities to help relieve some tired muscles and to help create bonding among teammates.
The afternoon session was held for about an hour but was not at the usual pace Oregon likes to go in training. Following practice head coach Mark Helfrich talked about the day.
Helfrich spoke about Vernon Adams; Thomas Tyner's replacement possibilities; standouts including Dwayne Stanford, Tui Talia and DeForest Buckner.
The Ducks have Sunday off but will return to the practice grind on Friday. Oregon opens its season on Sept. 5th against Eastern Washington University at Autzen Stadium with a 5 o’clock kickoff scheduled. The game will be carried live on the Pac-12 Networks.
