Oregon Host Terry Wilson as First Visitor

The Oregon Ducks begin the season on Saturday, Sept. 5, when they host Eastern Washington, but an official visitor, Terry Wilson is also scheduled to be at the game. Wilson, 6-2.5, 180, Del City HS, Oklahoma City, Okla., will arrive in Eugene on Friday night, according to Wilson’s mother.

QB Terry Wilson told eDuck.com’s Robby Boydstun that he’s very excited for the visit to Eugene and has been keeping a good relationship with the Oregon coaching staff. Wilson also indicated that the Ducks have a shot to flip him from his soft verbal commitment to Nebraska.

If that should happen, Wilson would join Seth Green as a quarterback on the Oregon 2015 commit list.

Wilson’s mother is also expect to make the trip to Eugene with her son.

Wilson has a total of 12 offers besides Oregon and Nebraska, also has offers come from Arizona State, Colorado, Houston, Texas Tech and Indiana among others.

Greg Powers of Scout.com described Wilson as a thrower with a good arm and the ability to drop deep passes in accurately. Powers said that Wilson also works well outside of the pocket to extend plays, scanning the field to find receivers working to get open when things are breaking down.

Powers noted that Wilson has an impressive size and frame plus is as good runner. Powers thinks Wilson runs well because he handles the football well and freezes defenses with his play fakes in option looks.

If Wilson were to flip to Oregon, he would become the second quarterback on Oregon’s 2016 recruiting list, joining Seth Green of Allen HS, Allen Texas.
