Ducks Take 37-21 Lead Into Halftime

EUGENE ORE. – The Oregon Ducks have found Eastern Washington tougher than most expected but still hold a 37-21 lead at halftime. Oregon has racked up 432 yards of total offense but have allowed 299 yards and three touchdowns.

Vernon Adams, facing his former team has thrown for 187 yards and a touchdown, but his replacement at EWU, Jordan West has thrown for 277 yards and three touchdowns.

Royce Freeman has 105 yards of rushing and two TDs, while Kani Benoit has 46 yards and a score. Adams also rushed for 73 yards but gave up Oregon’s only turnover, a fumble in the second quarter. Tony James has a touchdown on 37 yards rushing.

EWU’s Cooper Kupp is the leading receiver with eight catches for 160 yards and a TD. Shaq Hill and Kendrick Bourne also have TD grabs.

Oregon ended the half with a 38-yard field goal by Aidan Schneider.

EWU will receive the kickoff to start the second half.
