Rahshaun Smith, a top tier linebacker prospect in the state of Florida, has announced via his Twitter account that he'll take his first official visit to Oregon on Sept. 24.
Smith is a former Clemson commit who stands 6-foot-2, 239-pounds and was one of the top performers at The Opening camp over the summer in Oregon. He recently re-opened his recruitment last month and has additional official visits planned to Auburn (Nov. 4,), Maryland (Dec. 4) and Clemson (Dec. 12) according to Scout.com's Corey Bender.
The Ducks currently have two true linebackers attached to the class in Darrian Franklin and La'Mar Winston Jr., and a commitment from Smith would only strengthen their depth at that position group. There will be plenty of anticipation built up by the time he does make a decision as he does not plan to commit until the Under Armour All-America Game in Januray.
