Oregon takes a 33-7 halftime lead over Georgia State

The Oregon Ducks had a much needed boost in the defensive pressure as Oregon heads into the lockerroom at halftime with a 33-7 lead. Jeff Lockie making his first career start threw for 148 yards and a touchdown.

Lockie hit Dwayne Stanford for a 35-yard touchdown. Lockie was 14-of-21 passing.

Royce Freeman has 101 yards rushing including a 21-yard touchdown run.

The Duck defense got in the act on the very first series of the game when Tyree Robinson intercepted Nick Arbuckle and returned the ball for a touchdown.

The rest of the Oregon scoring came on Aidan Schneider’s foot. Schneider hit three 40-yard field goals and a 26 yarder going 4-for-4 in FG attempts.

Oregon's defense, which had been under a lot of scrutiny in the last two games, came up big recording two sacks and causing Georgia State to go 3-and-out on three occasions.

The Ducks did allow one drive that had big plays. First Arbuckle hit Penny Hart for a 44-yard gain then followed up finding a wide open tight end Keith Rucker for a 20-yard gain putting the ball on the Oregon 1. Arbuckle finished off the fast drive with a 1-yard plunge for GSU’s only score.

Oregon will receive the ball on the kickoff to start the third quarter.
