Oregon jumps up by 21 over Cal at the half, 31-10

EUGENE – The Oregon Ducks looked like the team that won the Rose Bowl last year and had its best half of the season by taking a 31-10 lead into the half over the California Bears. Vernon Adams has thrown for 210 yards and three touchdowns plus running for an additional acrobatic TD.

Adams hit Barlon Addison for two TDs of 10 and 15 yards and one TD to Dwayne Stanford cover 10 yards.

Royce Freeman has 116 yards and 17 rushes. Adams’ scoring TD was on a 10-yard run.

Aidan Schneider hit a 41-yard field goal in the first quarter when the Ducks were trailing Cal 10-0.

Jared Goff has thrown one TD pass to Stephen Anderson, plus Cal’s place kicker, Matt Anderson boot a 3-pointer from 27 yards out.

Over all, Oregon has 441 yards on 49 plays to Cal’s 196 on 41 playes.

Cal will receive the kickoff when the second half starts.
