Oregon goes 3-0 in the young basketball season.

The Oregon Ducks improved to 3-0 in the young season with a 77-59 win over Savannah State on Friday night at Matthew Knight Arena. Chris Boucher led all scorers with 17 points; he also pulled down seven rebounds and blocked two shots.

The Ducks led from the start and were ahead most of the game by double figures. The Tigers managed to cut the lead to 10 at 53-43; Oregon went on to take control of the game and had its biggest lead at 72-50.

Elgin Cook added 12 points and eight rebounds to the Oregon victory while Dillon Brooks had 11.

Troyce Menassa had 15 for SSU with Kilo Lenjo and Chris Martin both scoring 11.

Oregon shot 51.7 percent on 31-of-60 shooting from the field including 4-of-17 in 3-point shots. The Ducks struggled at the free throw line hitting 11-of-24.

SSU shot 44.6 percent on 25-of-56 shooting including 5-of-18 in threes, and were 4-of-7 from the charity stripe.

The Ducks now go 3-0 for the season while SSU drops to 3-1.

Oregon faces Valparaiso on Sunday at MKA, with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m. Pacific. The game will be carried on the Pac-12 Networks.
