Vernon Adams honored by conference as player of the week for the second time this season.

For the second time this season, Vernon Adams Jr, has been named Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week by the conference. Adams threw for 407 yards and six touchdowns last Saturday in Oregon’s 48-28 win over USC at Autzen Stadium.

This is second honor from the conference Adams has received. He was the Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Nov. 2nd.

For the year, Adams has thrown for 2,080 yards (260.0 ypg) 22 touchdowns with six interceptions and a quarterback efficiency rating of 179.4. Adams has appeared in eight games and therefore does not have enough games to be listed in the conference rankings, but he would be the No. 1 quarterback in efficiency ratings if he could be included.

The win over USC gave Oregon an 8-3 record for the season and 6-2 in conference play.

Oregon takes on Oregon State in the 119th Civil War on Friday, to close out the regular season. The Civil War will kickoff at 1 p.m. Pacific and will be carried on Fox Sports 1.
