Oregon faces Oregon State on Friday in the 119th Civil War.

This Friday, Oregon (8-3, 6-2) takes on Oregon State (2-9, 0-8) and for the Beavers this will be the last game of the season. However for Oregon the season will continue with a bowl appearance.

On Tuesday, Oregon Head Coach Mark Helfrich was asked at his weekly media conference if he would like his team to put their stamp on this upcoming contest against the Beavers in order to get the best possible bowl bid.

The Ducks are 8-3 for the season and 6-2 in conference play and have been mentioned in connection with two Bowl games in particular, the Alamo Bowl on January 2, 2016 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas and the Holiday Bowl on December 30, 2015 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

Oregon won the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30, 2013 by beating Texas 30-7. The Ducks last appearance in the Holiday Bowl was a 42-31 win over Oklahoma State on Dec. 30, 2008.

Kickoff for Friday’s game is scheduled for 1 p.m. Pacific and the game will be carried on Fox Sports 1.
