Quarterback Dakota Prukop headed to Eugene.

Quarterback Dakota Prukop is going to use his fifth year of elibity in Eugene, Oregon next year according to a Twitter message from Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman on Wednesday. Prukop visited the Eugene campus last Saturday then flew to Alabama for a visit. Prokop is apparently in Hawaii presently on vacation.

In Feldman's story that was filed today Coveted FCS QB Dakota Prukop Picks Oregon Over Alabama Prukop is quoted as saying, ""I woke this morning and I said to myself, I’m going to be an Oregon Duck. And It just felt really good,”

Prukop spent the last three years as a starter for the Montana State Bobcats, and led them to a 5-6 record, though they were 4-1 at home. This season in 11 games Prukop threw for 3,025 yards, 28 touchdowns with a long of 88 yards and was intercepted 10 times.

Some football analyst believe Prukop can come into Oregon's high powered offense and pick up where Vernon Adams left off after returning from injury and led the Ducks to a six-game win streak and a berth in the Alamo Bowl against TCU on January 2, 2016.

Adams, similarly transfered from Eastern Washington last summer and enrolled in graduate school at Oregon, but was injured in the first game of the year against his old team, EWU, which slowed him down in a loss against Michigan State and limited minutes in a loss to Utah. Adams returned to action against Washington for a win in that game and all the games for the rest of the season.

Prukrop graduated from Montana State this week, howevr further details of Prukrop's plans on when he'll enroll or what graduate program he will enter have not been made available.
