Oregon prepares for TCU in the Valero Alamo Bowl

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- On Wednesday, players from the Oregon offense and acting offensive coordinator Matt Lubick responded to questions from media. One reporter asked quarterback Vernon Adams about a video shot recently showing Adams being mic'd up, and running around the field. Adams began to answer when it became apparent Adams was talking about one thing and the reporter another. Realizing the gaff, Adams handled the situation as smoothly as he handles some defensive linemen.

Adams then went on to clarify a question about arriving the first day of bowl practice in San Antonio.

Four players, Adams, Bralon Addison, Tyler Johnstone and Royce Freeman as well as Lubick took questions from media for about 35 minutes.

Following the portion of the conference on the podium, media members had a few minutes to ask further questions of the players and coach.

Adams told eDuck.com that when he graduated from high school, he never dreamed he would play in a game like the Alamo Bowl, and he also indicated that he also intends to pursue the NFL.

The Valero Alamo Bowl will be played on Saturday, January 2, with kickoff scheduled for 3:45 p.m. (Pacific) and will be carried on ESPN.
