Like a groundhog emerging to promise an early spring, Erik Skopil emerges from hiding to return to the eDuck Podcast to talk about his favorite thing: hoops. With the full team on board, the topic of conversation turns to Oregon vs. Duke in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Thursday night. The Ducks enter the game favored against the defending national champs after both posted single-digit wins in the second round last weekend.
We discuss coach and player matchups, how officiating could factor into the game, ball movement, outliers and more in this big time matchup. After we give our predictions, we play the fun hypothetical game of which team Oregon would want to avoid in the Elite 8 should they win and make predictions on their chances of making the Final Four based on their potential opponent. Also, just because, we make picks for the entire Sweet 16.
In other news, we recap an up and down few days for Oregon baseball heading into their series in Seattle against Washington and discuss the significance of Opening Night for Ducks softball at the brand new Jane Sanders Stadium.
