Oregon beats Duke 82-68 to advance on to Elite-8.

Oregon’s Elgin Cook finished the night with 16 points and nine rebounds and as usual was one of the workhorses for the Oregon Ducks in the 82-68 win over the Duke Blue Devils. Cook’s work helped the Ducks to build a solid lead that Duke could not overcome and now Oregon is set for the Elite-8 on Saturday against Oklahoma.

Cook displayed the same qualities he has this season with his hardnosed approach to the game of basketball. Never one to back down, Cook made big emotional plays against the Blue Devils that helped his team to answer every challenge Duke could muster up.

For the night, Cook had 16 points, nine rebounds and a blocked shot. His team set a school record with 22 assists, 10 more than Duke's 12. Oregon also had a 42-32 rebounding advantage.

Oregon now has won 31 game for the season which is a new school record for basketball.  Oregon has been beet to the Elite-8 only two times before thought Oregon won the very first NCAA tournament in 1939.

Oregon will need Cook’s brilliant play yet again on Saturday when it faces Oklahoma the two seed in the West. The game is scheduled to start at 3:09 Pacific on Saturday afternoon.
