Tyler Dorsey and crew get set for Oklahoma on Saturday.

Tyler Dorsey has had one of the most productive freshman seasons in the history of Oregon basketball. He is averaging 13.5 points per game, 4.3 rebounds and shooting a team high percentage in 3-point shots at .418 percent. He’ll need all those impressive statistics to manifest themselves on Saturday when the Ducks face Oklahoma in the Elite-8 game.

Dorsey is not only the team leader in 3-point shooting percentage; he also has made the most 3-point shots canning 66-of-158 which is 18 more than Dillon Brooks with 48 completed 3-pointers. Coming into college, Dorsey was known as a scorer but not necessarily as an outside shooter. This year he has worked on hard on his shot and it shows. In the Pac-12 Tournament held at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Dorsey improved his scoring and average 19.7 ppg and was named to the all-tournament team along with teammates, Brooks, Elgin Cook and Chris Boucher

Dorsey is from Los Angeles and went to Maranatha HS in Pasadena, so playing in Anaheim is like a homecoming and he’ll have lots of family and friends along with all the Duck supporters that will be in the Honda Center on Saturday.

Tipoff for the game is scheduled for 3:09 p.m. Pacific and will be carried on CBS.
